BOUND
SOLO SHOW 2020

We are bound to live, to change, to communicate, to protect, to explore, to be, to love. We are bound by time, rules, gender and to be part of nature.
This show explores some of what we are bound to and what we are bound by as we navigate our lives.

The show has 18 pieces. ‘Bound’ is the largest sculpture, measuring 3-meters high. It is a female figure suspended by branches, tied tightly around her waist.
Precariously balanced with her skirt of branches, it emphasizes our connection to and our dependency on the natural world. It is this piece that inspired me to delve deeper into this theme.
